Contact the Outreach Manager, Una Daly, unatdaly @ ocwconsortium dot org for any questions or comments.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Community colleges can get involved by:

  • Becoming institutional members of the Community College Consortium at the OCW Consortium.
  • Identifying OER advocates on your campus to participate on the CCCOER Advisory Board.
  • Participating in the next OER survey.
  • Sharing what you are already doing in terms of promoting open textbooks, open courseware, and OER on their campuses;
  • Providing the College Open Textbook Collaborative with faculty volunteers to review open textbooks;
  • Encouraging your faculty to visit the CCCOER website to review materials and the catalogue of open textbooks (750+) at no cost.
  • Providing release time and/or professional development leave for faculty to develop or adapt open textbooks and OER.

View a slideshow and read an article in Educause Review about why the Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources was formed.  Also, take a look at a video about the Consortium’s involvement with efforts to promote use and development of open textbooks.

See the full list of CCCOER members in May 2011.
